kyocera k-7 rave Phone. Recently on vacation, thought phone was lost either in hotel room or on a beach. Neither was true. My 10 year old son placed phone in his side pocket of his shorts and then zippered closed. Needless to say, phone was washed in hot water with detergent twice due to heavy soiling with sand and ocean water, then dried in a hot dryer, when phone was found a week later I thought for sure it was ruined. For commonly sent messages, there are 20 text templates thus allowing the user to quickly reply without composing the same sms each time. High speed data transfers as well as Internet access impossible by means of the cdma200 1xRTT technology that has been luckily included. Voice dialing is the only voice based feature present. Another feature that increases the value of the K7 is its inbuilt flashlight. Very useful around the house or in a dark alley if you are the adventurous type, it is really bright and can light up the way. However it should be used judiciously since excessive use may decrease battery life necessitating a quick recharge. The K7 should be avoided if the user has any choice in the matter.
